Stryke Industries has recently filed IP relating to a novel material architecture concept designed to protect metals and other structures from intense heat, such as is experienced within jet turbine engines and on wings of high speed aircraft. This work is part of Stryke’s Advanced Materials technology area and has been identified as a priority area for next generation systems. The title of the application is, “Thermal Protection System Utilizing Insulating and Conductive Materials”. A concept paper on the technology can be found here.
