Mr. Tate joined the STRYKE Team in July 2014 and is a key member of STRYKE’s Executive Team. He brings a wealth of business development and capture experience and operational aviation experience to the team and will be instrumental in obtaining support and resources, and shaping policy toward Stryke’s interests and objectives. Prior to joining the STRYKE team, Tate held senior management positions within the business strategy and development organizations of both the Lockheed Martin Corporation and The Boeing Company and was designated a Capture Manager by both organizations. In these roles, Tate led business development efforts including opportunity assessment, pursuit qualification, marketing campaigns, internal research and development planning, capture team leadership, and proposal development for multi-million dollar defense programs. Tate is a Navy veteran with over 20-years active duty experience managing legacy aircraft maintenance and sustainment programs, aviation maintenance training programs, and flight training and simulation programs.Mr. Tate joined Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in April 2010 and successfully led business development and capture efforts for Air Force and Navy weapons programs, both domestic and international. Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Tate worked for The Boeing Company as a senior Business Development Manager in Boeing’s Government Operations Office in Arlington, Virginia. As a member of Boeing’s government team he worked closely with key Department of Defense offices and political offices in the Capitol region to protect and advance the interests, competitiveness and reputation of The Boeing Company. Tate’s Boeing portfolio was Navy focused and included weapons programs, aviation training programs and unmanned systems. Mr. Tate served over 20-years as an officer and pilot within the Navy’s Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance community. He amassed over 4000 flight hours conducting anti-submarine warfare and reconnaissance missions worldwide and conducting and leading advanced multi-engine flight training programs in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Mr. Tate is a recent graduate of Rollins College (2013) in Winter Park, Florida where he received a Master in Business Administration (MBA). He also holds a Master of Arts degree in Management from Webster University, and is an alumnus of the University of Virginia
